Kurt McKee was a four-year starter for the Cougar baseball team, helping Columbus State University to two NCAA DII College Baseball World Series appearances in 2004 and 2007. McKee played in a program-record 249 games, while ranking second all-time in CSU history with 228 runs scored and second all-time hits in a career at CSU. He holds the Peach Belt Conference record for most hits in a conference game with six and all-time fielding assists with 766. The smooth fielding shortstop won the NCAA Division II Gold Glove for the position in 2007.
