One of the most prolific scorers in Peach Belt Conference history, Gina Goforth was an elite playmaker for head coach Jay Entlich. During her career, Goforth and the Lady Cougars won the PBC regular season crown all four years and also added three PBC Tournament championships. Overall, the Lady Cougars were 75-14-7 while Goforth was on the pitch and also reached the NCAA Tournament in all four seasons including reaching the national quarterfinal round in 2007 and 2008. Individually, Goforth was unstoppable scoring 48 goals in 90 matches and added 13 assists for 109 career points. Her goal and points marks are the second best marks in Lady Cougar history while ranking fifth and seventh in PBC history in those respective categories. Goforth was great as well when the time was running down as the forward scored 18 game-winning goals for the Lady Cougars, which are the second most in program history. Goforth’s 2008 season is one for the record book as she scored 18 goals, which was a school record at the time and still ranks second, and registered 40 points. In her senior season in 2009, Goforth scored 13 goals and helped out on three others to earn All-American status from the National Soccer Coaches Association of America. She also garnered three All-PBC accolades. Goforth is one of only three Lady Cougars to have scored double digit goals in three different seasons and is one of just six to have recorded a hat trick scoring three goals in a match against Clayton State in 2008.
