Candace Turner

Candace Turner was a four-year starter, leading the Lady Cougars to a 108-24 record.  She helped lead her teams to two Final Four appearances, two South Atlantic Regional Championships, one undefeated regular season (31 straight wins), and a ranking of #1 in the country for 11 straight weeks. Candace and her teammates also won two Peach Belt Conference Tournament Championships and two regular season championships.  She was named the MVP of the 2001 South Atlantic Regional, was 1st team All-Conference and was on the All-PBC Tournament team in 2003.  Candace was the Columbus State University team captain and MVP in 2002 and 2003.  She set CSU records for free throws made and attempted in a season and a career. She ranks 2nd on the all-time CSU scoring list with 1,377 points; 4th in rebounding with 600; and 4th in assists with 326.  She led the PBC in steals with 108 during the 2001/02 season.  Turner was the NCAA Georgia Woman of the Year in 2003 and the 2003 Columbus State University Homecoming Queen.
