Keith Daugherty was a two-time first team All-American at Columbus State University. During his time as a Cougar, Daugherty helped lead CSU to the program’s first Peach Belt Conference Tournament title in 1994. The Cougars also advanced to the NCAA Tournament in 1992 and 1994 with Daugherty in the lineup. Daugherty ranks inside the program’s top-10 in seven different statistical categories in the CSU record book. He ranks second all-time in total bases (441), third in RBIs (179), fourth in home runs (39) and sixth in runs (160), hits (268) and doubles (50). His home run mark ranks 12th all-time in PBC history while his RBI total is 14th.  His senior season was his best as the third baseman hit .407 with 90 hits, 16 doubles, 15 home runs and 59 RBIs. He led the PBC in home runs that season. Daugherty was named an ABCA All-American in 1994 and 1995, while also All-PBC in those seasons.
