Won No. 1 Singles in State Junior College Competition in 1966 and 1967, leading team to consecutive State Championships. Teamed with Edwin Wright to win No. 1 Doubles Titles. Was 15-0 in singles in 1967 and reached the Fourth Round of the National Junior College Tournament. Returned in 1971 to team with Stanley Shanbron to reach the Doubles Finals of the NAIA National Tournament. Was named NAIA All-American. Credited with moving the school’s tennis teams to state, regional, and national prominence.
